Performance Coaching
One-to-one coaching is a highly personalized and interactive process that helps clients develop the self-awareness, perspectives, confidence and skills they need to achieve personal and professional success. Coaching is not therapy, which has a clinical focus and is usually oriented in the past. At LeanForward, Inc., our approach to coaching concentrates on the “now” by assisting clients with values clarification, goal setting, capabilities assessment, problem-solving and decision-making. Our coaching process is a particularly effective strategy for leaders who need to develop greater levels of emotional intelligence and individuals who are facing significant transitions or impasses.
Team coaching involves intact work teams that are accountable for accomplishing projects or delivering services. Our approach to team coaching focuses on aiding the members in developing the tools, perspectives and commitments that are vital for successful teamwork. These include mutual purpose, shared ownership, open dialogue, problem-solving, decision-making, respect, and an orientation toward action.
Group coaching involves working with a small group of individuals who share common developmental objectives. Individuals form a covenant with each other to explore issues as a group. They openly share their insights, successes, challenges and commitments with one another, under the guidance of the coach. Group coaching fosters authentic, supportive and accountable relationships among the members, and often serves as an incubator for fresh ideas and new directions.
